What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Below is a variation of feedback which we received from our audience.

Kimmie202- Hiyya girlies, this is well good! The track choice fits really well with the editing and the genre of the song works especially well with the style of the music video. I liked the fact that you shot it in the woods, this gave it a certain atmospheric feel, and you could really tell that girl was distressed about something. xx

Didn’t fully understand the storyline of this, but the editing was amazing, well cut to the beat, and that make up was well cool.

Liked the contrast within this video, the two different scenes worked well together, and liked how you changed the lighting and tempo from one scene to the other. Good job guys!

Loved your video, the editing was cut very well to the beat of the song, especially when it lead up to the chorus, when it had that big drum beat! When is your next video coming out?!  x

Samsam083- I didn’t understand why there was a girl running through the forest, but I liked the editing.

Liked this - the costume was well cool, love the corset and tutu’s, as well as the theatrical make-up. Was well edited in time with the song too.

Lysh01 – I thought this was skillfully done, this particular genre of music needs a certain approach in a video and I think you two dealt with this well x

We received quite a few comments on our music video and overall we were very pleases with the audience feedback we received. One of the main things that was mentioned several, was not a full understanding of the story line to our video, (i.e. the main female character, shown running through the woods in distress).

We learnt that audience highly approved of our editing skills throughout the video and we did well to cut all of the shots in time of the beat to the music. Another thing that people commented on was our choice of mise’-en-Scene, the location we filmed in, our idiosyncratic costumes and dramatic make-up. One of the points that was made by a viewer was that the genre of the song and nature of the lyrics fitted to the video well, which was really good to hear as this is one of the main challenged I feel we had throughout producing the music video. If we had change to do this again a second time around, I feel we would make the main story line clearer as a few from our target audience had said that wasn’t fully understood for them, and we would possibly get feedback continually as we were in the process of making the video instead of it all after, so that we could possibly make changes when the audience felt they were needed.
